AppsFlyer
AppsFlyer is an affiliate network. Its own documentation: https://support.appsflyer.com/hc/en-us/articles/207273946-Postback-macros-for-ad-networks.
The offer’s URL
Section titled “The offer’s URL”The network’s link takes the click id in the query parameter clickid. The portal also writes these parameters, in order, with the macro each carries: pid (a fixed value the portal fills in), af_c_id = {campaign_id}, af_adset_id = {source_campaign}, af_siteid = {placement}, af_ad_id = {creative}, af_media_type = web.
How conversions get back to Tallyray
Section titled “How conversions get back to Tallyray”Method GET. The portal writes the URL for you to paste into the network. Each Tallyray parameter, and the network macro it reads:
| Tallyray parameter | Network macro |
|---|---|
cid | (clickid) |
et | (event_name) |
payout | (event_revenue) |
currency | (event_revenue_currency) |
status | you fill in the network’s macro |
campaign | (af_c_id) |
source_campaign | (af_adset_id) |
placement | (af_siteid) |
creative | (af_ad_id) |
Event names, as the network sends them, and what they mean here:
| Network | Tallyray |
|---|---|
re-engagement | reengagement |
re-attribution | reengagement |
af_purchase | sale |
af_complete_registration | registration |
af_subscribe | subscription |
An event name not listed reads as one of your event types’ codes; a postback with no event is of kind install.
Statuses:
| Network | Tallyray |
|---|---|
blocked | declined |
A postback with no status is approved; one with another is refused.
A postback may name campaign in place of a click id.
Tallyray keeps only the parameters this template reads, and drops the rest.
Build the postback URL
Section titled “Build the postback URL”What AppsFlyer calls each field, for this URL only. Leave one empty to see the field it stands for.
Postback URL
AppsFlyer calls this URL for every conversion and every change to one. Replace npt_… with the token the portal shows, once, when it is made.
How to connect it
Section titled “How to connect it”Nothing to authorize: the network sends its postbacks to a URL Tallyray gives you.
This page describes version 1 of the AppsFlyer template, the latest published. The version your connection runs is the one your administrators approved, and the portal shows it.
