Plans and billing

A workspace you sign up for is billed through Stripe. The workspace’s owner manages billing under Workspace, Billing; other members can see the account’s state. Card and bank details are taken by Stripe Checkout and Stripe’s customer portal, and never reach Tallyray.

Each public plan has:

  • a monthly price, before tax (Stripe Tax adds your VAT at checkout);
  • visits included each month, and the price of each further 1,000 visits, if visits past the included ones cost anything;
  • limits: members, custom domains, connections, how long data is kept, and whether you may write templates of your own.

The pricing page lists the current plans. Their prices are the deployment’s, not fixed here.

A visit is any request to a campaign’s URL, bots and blocked ones included. Visits are counted per calendar month in UTC. Past a plan’s included visits Tallyray keeps serving, and bills the extra at the plan’s price. Impressions are counted, but plans neither limit nor bill them.

  1. A new workspace is pending: it reads as before, and its tracking domains take no visits until the first payment goes through.
  2. The owner chooses a plan and pays through Stripe Checkout. A bank debit that is still processing leaves the workspace pending until the invoice is paid.
  3. Once paid, the workspace is active on the plan.
  4. The owner can change plan at any time: Stripe invoices the prorated difference at once, and if its payment fails nothing changes. They can cancel, staying active until the period ends, and take the cancellation back until then.
  5. Stripe’s customer portal holds your cards, bank accounts, address, VAT id and invoices. The Billing page lists invoices with Stripe’s pages for each, and the visits reported to Stripe’s meter each UTC day (once, never more than were counted).
StateWhat it means
Activepaid up
Past duea renewal’s payment failed. The workspace stays active while Stripe tries again and the owner is mailed, for a grace, 7 days by default
Suspendedunpaid past the grace, or the subscription ended. It reads as before and changes nothing; its tracking domains take no visits. It ends for good at a date shown unless it is paid or subscribed again
Endedover for good: nothing bills it again

A suspended workspace keeps the conversions of clicks it took before the suspension, and they still go to your sources. It takes no new visits.

A workspace can also be granted a plan by Tallyray’s staff, with a reason; while the grant lasts there is nothing to pay.
